Light reveals the infinite in the finite, making icons of the everyday. A small collection of photos and paintings.

"One cannot help but be amazed when contemplating the mysteries of Eternity, of Life, of the marvelous structure of reality. It is enough to try to grasp just a little of the mystery every day." Albert Einstein

"The pieces were very successful. I was surprised by the high quality of the reproductions, and the images themselves are highly intriguing since they occupy a zone of uncertainty between a representative "of" and an abstract "is". They also work together as an ensemble, reinforcing mutual impact." Dr Martin Parker Dixon

ATWOMAN - SOLO EXHIBITION 2021

21 June to 17 July 2021

Michaelhouse Centre, Cambridge

Open everyday, from 10 am to 5 pm

I invite you on a journey into the heart of the emotional exploration of the 2020-21 lockdown, from light to darkness. These paintings depict my meditative experiences in the non-dual tradition of Khasmir, when the perception of the self is not limited to the projections of the mind. In this deep meditative state, my sense of being a separate individual merges into the intimate feeling of being one with all things. This experience is cosmic, colourful, and timeless. Often it creates space to explore raw feelings, from joy to rage, as well as deep depression.

I use natural sponges collected on the beach, and paint without eye correction for my strong near-sightedness, to prevent the return of the sense of separation and keep true to the meditative experience. When I paint, I listen repeatedly to a piece of music that resonates with the vibration of the experience. I invite you to listen to soundtracks whilst contemplating the paintings (scan the QR code on the label and click on the link on the painting), and to immerse in your own experience of sound and image.

Contact me if you would like to meet me there!
